GSM Connection for Moeller easy™

INSYS GSM Easy, in combination with a Moeller small PLC, allows to set up low-cost wireless remote maintenance solutions. For this purpose, you simply have to connect the GSM modem via the RS232 interface to the PLC's easy 800/MFD or easy 500 or 700.

Due to a firmware specially designed for this kind of PLC, the GSM transmission devices are able to control I/O states, internal markers as well as actual values and to send commands to the PLC. Read-out values may be inserted in short messages, which are sent upon an SMS request, at preset times, or upon alarm (in case of overstepping parameterised critical values or by activating the alarm inputs of INSYS GSM easy). For received messages a request for acknowledgement may be defined. Besides the two alarm inputs the GSM device has two relay switching outputs, which may be activated by the alarm entry, an AT command, as well as by SMS.

A highlight feature is the possibility of also remote-parameterising the PLC using the Moeller standard tools. For this purpose the INSYS-developed PC programme INSYS Connect establishes a transparent connection to the INSYS GSM easy.
